PLAYOFFS RECAP: SEMIFINALS, GAME 7

Invaders Storm Past Short-Handed Tritons 103-80 Behind Ray Weston’s Dominant Double-Double

In a decisive Game 7 showdown, the Indiana Invaders surged past the depleted Tampa Bay Tritons with a commanding 103-80 victory, punching their ticket to the American Conference Finals where they’ll face the Los Angeles Chaos. With Tritons stars Herman Winslow and Rick Cavender sidelined due to injuries, Indiana took full advantage, unleashing a relentless second-quarter blitz that flipped a six-point deficit into a 13-point halftime lead.

Ray Weston was a force of nature in the paint, earning Player of the Game honors with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting and a bruising 13 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. His physicality set the tone for an Invaders squad that out-muscled Tampa Bay on the boards 48-43 and shot a sizzling 91% from the free-throw line. David Kidder added a spark off the bench with 17 points and four assists, while Douglas Floyd chipped in 15 points and three blocks in a gritty two-way performance.

Tampa Bay’s offense sputtered without its key starters, shooting just 38% from the field and committing 19 turnovers. Despite a valiant 23-point effort from David Fausel, the Tritons couldn’t keep pace with Indiana’s balanced attack and suffocating defense, which racked up 15 steals and eight blocks.

With momentum on their side and a deep, energized roster, the Invaders now set their sights on the Chaos in what promises to be a thrilling American Conference Finals clash.
