The Online Basketball World League (OBWL) unveiled its 2037 All-League First Team on Monday night, recognizing five of the most dominant players from the season. This year’s selections feature a mix of elite scoring, playmaking, and defensive prowess, with standout performances from across the league.
Cary Fisher – Center, Mustangs
Anchoring the paint for the Mustangs, Cary Fisher delivered a stellar season, averaging 21.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.2 blocks per game. Fisher’s ability to control the interior on both ends of the floor made him an invaluable asset. Offensively, he showcased a polished post game and a reliable mid-range jumper, while defensively, his shot-blocking presence deterred opponents from attacking the rim. His dominance on the boards and ability to alter shots were key factors in the Mustangs’ success this season.
John Howerton – Forward, Labradors
John Howerton led the league in scoring with an impressive 28.7 points per game while also contributing 8.3 rebounds. A versatile forward with a lethal scoring touch, Howerton excelled in isolation situations and was a constant threat in transition. His ability to create his own shot and finish through contact made him one of the most difficult players to guard. Trevor Roberts – Forward, Labradors
Joining his teammate on the First Team, Trevor Roberts provided a well-rounded game, averaging 20.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per contest. A dynamic two-way player, Roberts was equally effective as a scorer and facilitator. His ability to see the floor with his passing and to attack the basket in the post made him a matchup nightmare. John Glisson – Guard, Gators
