*Fisher Wins OBWL Most Valuable Player Award*

Honolulu – C Cary Fisher was named league Most Valuable Player today. He led the Inferno to a record of 51-29 and a second-place finish in the West Division. When asked about his latest accomplishment, Fisher replied ”Individual awards are nice but my goal is to win championships. If we can keep playing like we have been, we should be in good shape when the playoffs start.” For the season, Fisher averaged 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.

*Fisher Wins OBWL Defensive Player of the Year Award*

Honolulu – C Cary Fisher was named league Defensive Player of the Year today. He led the Inferno to a record of 51-29 and a second-place finish in the West Division. We talked to Fisher after the press conference. He gave us his thoughts on the award: ”Individual awards are nice but my goal is to win championships. If we can keep playing like we have been, we should be in good shape when the playoffs start.” For the season, Fisher averaged 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 4.2 blocks per game. Fisher has now won the award 2 times.

*Buffington Wins OBWL Rookie of the Year Award*

Quebec – SG Frank Buffington was named league Rookie of the Year today. He led the Coyotes to a record of 37-43 and a sixth-place finish in the East Division. When asked about his latest accomplishment, Buffington replied ”Winning this award is a great honor. I am going to keep working hard and maybe my next award will be the League MVP. I just want to be the best player that I can be.” For the season, Buffington averaged 12.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

*Snodgrass Wins OBWL Sixth-Man of the Year Award*

The winner of this season’s Sixth-Man of the Year Award is Paul Snodgrass of the Manhattan Swing. Snodgrass helped the Swing to a record of 47-33 and a fourth-place finish in the East Division. For the season, Snodgrass averaged 13.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. When asked about the award, Snodgrass replied ”This is a great honor. Being a starter is important to some people but it doesn’t really matter to me. I just want to do everything that I can to help the team.”
