York Labs Changing Roster

The York Labs and the Tritons just made a trade that will effect both franchises for years to come.

Last season, Hitch was able to ink Donnie McGinty to a long contract.   He is a true point guard.  With him playing, Joiner was forced to play out of position some at the shooting guard spot.   In the offseason, McGinty stated he wanted to be traded to a team that could give him more playing time.  This happened just minutes ago.  McGinty, a former number 2 overall pick, went to the Tritons

Donnie McGinty and second round pick Robert Burgos move to Tamba Bay.  In return, the Labs get Paul Savino, this years second over all pick, who is just 19.  Warren Woofruff, who is 19, was drafted 13th in this year and Blair Bedard and experience shooting guard.  This alone seems seems like a good deal for York.  However, they also got a first and second round draft pick in the deal.

“I want to thank the Labs organization for this chance to live my dream.  They took a chance on my out of college.  I will be forever grateful.  I hope the Tritons fans show me the same love that I got each night here at the Purina Dog Pen arena,” McGinty said.
