Labs still in playoff hunt?

It may be early in the year, but the York Labradors remain in the playoff hunt.  In recent years, York has not been competitive early in the year.  This year one could argue the Labs might be turning the corner towards a winning season.

Hitch has the team just one game from the division lead.  Some owners believe the American West is the worst division in the league.  Five teams are all within 1.5 games of first in the division.

Recently, the team made some line up changes and the players have responded. York has a four game home stand that will tell how good or bad the team is.  The home stand starts with the Muscle. Then two important games against the first place Archers before finishing up with the Coyotes.

Hitch has received many offers this year for his young talent.  It appears there are no deals that are close.  Offers have come for young players Joseph Joiner, Donnie McGinty, Jerome Fry and John Howerton.  There have been conversations around Robert Schrimsher, also.

Howerton stated he wants to test free agency in the off season.  He could demand a max contract.  Will Hitch offer him that much money in the off season if needed?  Will he be smart enough to manage the budget and have enough money to sign him?

For now, fans have an interest in the team.  The arena is over 93% capacity.  The owner is making money and the Labs remain in the play off hunt. How could life be better?
