Sting lose again

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) — The Las Vegas Sting went into Indiana looking for a big game. But what they got was some of the same ol’ same old. Vegas dropped their fourth game in the preseason to the Indiana Invaders.  The Sting were lead by Andrew Alvarez who scored 26 points. lost 119-98. Alvarez, who was -18  and had 9 rebounds tried to lead the team to victory but to no avail. The Sting have a lot of work to do if they want to be a competitive team in the OBWL.  Stopping Indiana’s Jose Gaynor proved to be no small task as Gaynor put up 27 points, 9 rebound and 7 assists.

Ray Weston of Indiana was also on top of his game.  He put up 25 points, 3 rebounds and was a +30 for the night. For Las Vegas, rookie James Araiza only played one minute in the game and had a rebound and assist. “We look forward to seeing James be a big part of our team. We do need to take our time with him. We don’t want to rush things and have him lose faith in the system.”

Vegas finishes up the preseason with a game against the Seattle Sea Dogs. The Sea Dogs are struggling also, as they are 1-3.
